Help A Single Mother And Her Children

A single mother from our community has fallen upon a crisis.
Her marriage of many years fell apart under difficult circumstances, and she is left caring for more than six children alone. Sadly and unfortunately, her ex-husband is refusing to contribute his share towards the support of the children, and the bills have grown and grown.
With all the Yomim Tovim, it is a beautiful time, but when you are a single mother, things become much more complicated.
Raising a large family is a challenge for a happily married couple; for a single mother, it can seem like an impossibility. She is facing a daunting challenge: juggling housework, caring for her little ones, and earning a living—all without the support of the children’s father. Her expenses have simply outpaced the income she can bring in, and she has fallen deeply into debt.
Mibsarcha al tisalam (do not hide from your own kin)—let’s help our fellow Jew. The mitzvah of tzedakah (charity) is especially crucial when it is someone from our own community: let’s help out this single mother from our community and her wonderful children.
